All Year Giving Project
This year Kanawha Christian has chosen World Vision Orphan Food Aid as its giving project. 12 million African children have already lost one or both parents to AIDS. Many are desperately hungry and without food. Kanawha Christian School has an opportunity to help feed hungry orphans and vulnerable children. If you like to give to this project, send your donation to school with your child(ren). You can use this project to encourage your children to view this as a way to serve others in God's Kingdom.
Christmas Concert
West Hancock Middle School will have their Christmas concert on Thursday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. This concert will include 6th through 8th grade band students from Kanawha Christian.
Cookie Walk
Kanawha Christian School will once again be holding a cookie walk on December 9th beginning at 1:00 p.m. Invite a friend or two and come join us for an afternoon of coffee and fellowship and at the same time purchase all your holiday goodies.
Early Dismissal
On Wednesday, December 13 there will be an early dismissal at 1:12 p.m. for a scheduled teacher inservice. There WILL be public bus transportation.
Singing Around the Christmas Tree
Students and staff will be singing Christmas carols around the Christmas tree each day at 9:00 a.m. during the week of December 18. You are welcome to join us any or all of these days. We would love to have the extra voices singing with us.
Christmas Parties
Our classroom Christmas parties will be Thursday, December 21. The children have already drawn names and the notes have been sent home. Please have your child's gift for the gift exchange at school by Monday, December 18. This helps assure that everyone has a gift to open at the party.
Christmas Vacation
There will be no school from Friday, December 22 through Monday, January 1. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 2. There will be NO PUBLIC BUS SERVICE. Parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from school that day.
